to get it cleaned up for the commute. >>> in daly city crews will be back along lausanne avenue after a wall of mud came down the hillside. amy hollyfield is back at the scene this morning, with what is next for affected residents. >> reporter: it looks so much better out here this morning. now the residents are a little nervous, could this happen again? the city officials still have a lot of work to do to build confidence of the residents. it took all day yesterday to clean the mud out, the mud invaded this neighborhood in daly city about 4:30 in the morning when a pipe broke and 45,000 gallons of water came rushing in, mud coated the streets. now the concern is the rain in the forecast for later this week and what that will mean for this waterlogged hillside in this neighborhood. >> worried about another avalanche. worried if it rains and comes down again there will be major flooding. >> reporter: homes were evacuated yesterday not because of damage, the homes were fine, but because officials were worried the hillside might go. they allowed them back in, people are now nervous espec

in the forecast this week that means crews will be back in a daly city neighborhood this morning. yesterday a water pipe broke and flooded several streets around lausanne avenue with water and mud. amy hollyfield is there live. >> reporter: it looks so much better out here. it is amazing. they still have work to do. this time yesterday we were standing in mud, quite an improvement this morning. they spent all day yesterday working on cleaning up this neighborhood. they were shoveling mud and hauling it out and taking it to a recycle place in brisbane. four blocks of this neighborhood were coated in mud after a pipe broke at 4:25 in the morning that released 45,000 gallons of water. it was rushing into this neighborhood it brought the hillside down with it and a lot of mud. now they are worried about the rain in the forecast later this week. today they will be working onshoring up this hillside park. >> the next three days we are going to be winterizing the park which means putting bales of hay out to absorb moisture, mud and debris, sandbags and everything that we can to secure the park. >>

after he was shot in the head in north baltimore. city police responded just after 10:00 last night. that is when they found the victim lying in a heavily-wooded area near by. he was transported to an area hospital nearby for treatment. we're told homicide detectives are investigating. if you have information on the incident, called city police. baltimore county police are trying to figure out what sparked the weekend brawl outside a flea market that sent one person to the hospital and injured several others. it happened near the north point class of free-market. one man had to be taken to the hospital after he was struck with the rubber mallet. we're told his injuries are not life-threatening. at this point officials do not believe it was pre-planned. >> the initial investigation has indicated there were two groups of people that resulted in an investigation. we cannot confirm the gang involvement at this point in time. to go to people were arrested, but no charges have been filed. -- >> two people were arrested, but no charges have been filed. baltimore city held the veterans day

're tracking daly city flooding. tara moriarty is live on the scene. good morning, tara. >> reporter: good morning. you know, the damage here is pretty incredible. if you take a look behind me here, you can see where the mud and the water ended but it began all the way up the hill where those trees are and this entire neighborhood is just basically -- has mud all over the streets. about two dozen people had to be evacuated off bonnie street. the mud swept down the street. deputy was the first news -- ktvu was the first news crew to arrive on the scene. we saw the water mixed with the mud gushing down the hillside. the brake happening off luzane avenue and bonnie street. crews have it under control. the water has stopped racing down the hill. we spoke to the neighbor who called 911 initial. he said it was scary -- initially. he stayed was scary initially. >> the entire lawn was covered. there was a stream going down the street. i went downstairs and i got on my cell phone and called 911. >> reporter: the mud is up past the car tires at some -- some of the vehicles. several streets are block

: there's mud and water everywhere. this is what we're seeing throughout several blocks in this daly city neighborhood. here here on lasaine and price street and police say that it appears a water main broke somewhere up the hill so the water has been gushing down flooding the streets. some cars have water going past their tires. we have some video a little bit earlier. let's bring that up. residents have been waking up. they tell me because of the sound of o hospitallers. they're -- helicopters. there are police out here, firefighters out here. and when residents walk outside and see this, a lot of them concerned. quite a few have been evacuated from their homes and last we heard, they were going to a nearby park. we have yet to speak with any of those people and are still trying to get updates from police and firefighters, but a a big mess clean up here. when we first arrived it looked like there was gushing water and at this point everything seems to be still. maybe they're getting things under control up the hill but we will get the latest information and get back to you shortly. >>>

me show you is what it took and this massive water main break. and in daly city this cleaning crew using hand- held tools and this bobcat. at the bottom of the health there was no access to these mud however, the same deal with this car here. more portion was needed. not enough traction to grip the road. daily silly. >> i think the scars that we just pressed out by hand or probably the hardest that were on the slopes. and it looks like we are going to have to do a lot of and digging. >> after this was done the vehicles were not able to move on their own were simply towed away. in daly city, kron 4 news. some of those cars have been told and a lot of that mud is is going to possibly use that to fill up that-for the hillside. they are concerned if this could happen again. engineers are meeting again. reporting live in a daly city, kron 4 news. >> we have a live picture from sky 7 high-definition. from daly city and we have seen hot all of these areas is there any sense of when these crews could get everything cleaned up? >> they are trying to get this cleaned up before it gets too da

of the long range rockets which can target cities as far north as tel aviv. there is one report from gaza that the palestinians had fired a rocket at tel aviv but there is no confirmation of that. there was no news of it landing. one missile did get to the anti-rocket defense system and killed three israelis who apparently did not obey instructions to seek shelter but were looking at the action from their balcony. the army is telling everybody in israel, do what you're told and then you'll stay safe. inside gaza, at least 13 palestinians have been killed, 100 wounded. israel is continuing the attacks not only from the air by the way but also from ships at sea. israeli troops are also poised on the edge of gaza and reserves are being called up, too, in case the operation becomes bigger and israel launches a ground invasion of gaza which israel says they do not. hamas does not want. but it is certainly a situation. >> martin fletcher there live in tel aviv. thanks so much. >>> nbc meteorologist bill karins is tracking your weather. he has your forecast. good morning you to, bill. >> i'm all
